By using arsmedicaarchive.org (the 'Site') or contributing to the project through it, you agree to the terms below. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.
1. The studio
Ars Medica is an independent editorial studio publishing photography and writing on the history of the apothecary. References below to 'we,' 'us,' and 'our' mean the studio.
2. Use of the Site
You may browse the Site, view the collection, and read editorial content for personal, non-commercial purposes. Images and copy on the Site are protected by copyright and may not be reproduced, redistributed, or used commercially without written permission.
You agree not to interfere with the Site's operation, attempt unauthorised access, or use automated systems to scrape content beyond what robots.txt permits.
3. Contributions
Contributions to the project are processed by Stripe. By contributing you authorise the charge in the amount you select. Contributions are voluntary and are not made in exchange for goods or services.
Ars Medica is not a registered tax-exempt charity. Contributions are not tax-deductible. We do not issue tax receipts.

4. Intellectual property
All photography, design, and editorial copy on the Site is © Ars Medica unless otherwise noted. Photographs sourced from third-party contributors are used under the licences granted by those contributors; nothing here transfers any such licence to you.
5. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or relating to your use of the Site or any contribution is limited to the amount you contributed in the twelve months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
6. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Site after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
7. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Questions about these terms can be sent to info@arsmedicaarchive.org.
